The faculties of Department of International Studies and History attended the Faculty Development Programme organised by Centre for Education beyond curriculum (CEBDEC) on 17th May 2019 at the Kengeri Campus of CHRIST. Dr. Mario Vaz, Professor of Physiology, St John’s Medical College and Head, Health and Humanities, St. John’s Research Institute, Bangalore was the keynote speaker for the programme. The programme covered the multiple topics revolving around the theme of “Ethics in Teaching-Learning Pedagogy” through concurrent sessions that happened deanery wise.. The in-house training for the faculties was led by internal experts of School of Law. Discussion were held on appropriate selection of Instructional methods, strategies and teaching practices aimed at delivery of content in the classrooms that enable students to achieve objectives. Reflections were made on means and methods to be just and ability to maintain confidentiality, appropriate student – teacher boundaries in academic and personal matters relating to teaching-learning, mentoring and supervision.
